The Time Keeper is the story of Linda's return and one last somersault down the river is required. With the North Carolina state baseball playoffs in full swing, seventeen year old Corey Wails has more important matters to attend than his mother's recent wish to make amends. To Corey, life is as simple as the game - a fastball, a curve ball, and waste a pitch before the strike out. It is the game that Corey loves, and like a ball player who hears no chatter he tightens his blinders and races towards the finish line

The Time Keeper" is truly a very touching story. It made me realize how important it is to appreciate each day and live it to the fullest

Perhaps in the final days of our life we are granted the wisdom to see all that could have been, and all that should have been. The Time Keeper" is truly a very touching story. It made me realize how important it is to appreciate each day and live it to the fullest. But, most of all, it made me realize to never let a day go by without telling my children how much they mean to me and how much I love them. The book was wonderful! I'm sure it will touch many, many lives. I will definitely recommend this book to all of my friends.

Is there a book that you really enjoyed that you would recommend? . A Brief History of Time. 1 decade ago. timekeeper by kevin e cropp. its about a relation about a son and a mother.

Is there a book that you really enjoyed that you would recommend? (Maybe give me a little info to pique my curiosity. Gives a broad brush view of cosmology, including the Big Bang, black holes, and super string theory, to the nontechnical reader.

Sixteen miles downstream from the birthplace of George Washington, where the Shenandoah River comes out of the Blue Ridge carrying sycamore leaves and acorns, came a gem that shone brighter than most. That gem was Linda Wails, but when she found herself living on a dead-end street, next door to a black cat and mourning doves in the bushes, she knew her life had gone awry. Maybe she was right, because at the age of thrity-eight all the black cats and mourning doves in the state of North Carolina converged on her street. They all came the same day and they never left. "The Time Keeper" is not about harping on the past, but living in the present. It's about the redemption of a beautiful soul and a beautiful woman. It's about learning anew what it means to be a mother and what it takes to be a son. In the play of life, which is often a tragedy, one thing is certain: the Time Keeper will not be kept waiting.

The Time Keeper was a very touching story. I could not have put the book down, The Time Keeper is truly written for everybody. I fell in and found myself turning pages slowly and stalling to finish each page. Diagnosed with cancer Linda - the mother of Corey has only one dying wish. she wants her son to forgive her for being a bad mother. Before she was diagnosed with cancer she was a very cautious person. she believed in bad omens but when she moved to North Carolina, bad luck just kept lurking closer to her. The next couple of days Linda was walking in the cancer center to get her daily check up.
the results were not good at all, from then on she was diagnosed with cancer. ever since then she was less alive , more cold, ands stopped caring about things, especially for her son Corey. At seventeen years old, Corey had stopped trying to talk it out with his mother. he now didn't mind that her mother was for no reason angry at him. it is intriguing how Kevin E. Cropp makes this characters so lively and chose the to show so much emotion. It made me realize how important it is to appreciate each day and live it like it is the last day. This book makes you go through every emotion you know. this story can really touch hearts. Kevin E. Cropp really knows how to go through the teenage life, highs and lows.

This book is the story of a young teenage boy who is not so close to his mother. They become closer after his mother illness came to knowledge. His mother slowly moved towards a fatal disease - cancer. Kevin's message is so clear that even people that don't know how this reality feels can actually have a different burst of emotion and connect to the story. While reading The boy's mother verbally abused him for unclear reasons. I was able to tell the boy held on to feelings from his mom's failures and he is scared to go through it again.
The author was able to define the parents in such sharp words just like a teenager would. Its amazing however, the way Kevin was able to describe vividly the way the boy took care of his dying mother. The fact that "The Time Keeper" is based on a true life story effected me in many ways. I looked at it from a different perspective rather than just a novel. I learned to appreciate my own parents way more. I accepted more things in life because its so realistic. Ive never felt so much for just a character that tried to explain a real story. This book was amazing and a very emotional story.

I would recomend this book to teenagers like myself. This is because the narrator goes through phases of his life that some of us can relate ourselves to, like for example having a loved one in the family that has cancer. As people read the book it can affect their lifes for example it guides them. Guiding them in a way that when being in a situation like this they would be able to have an idea of how to react or even what to expect. A good lesson that can be learn from this book is to not take anything for granted. Teenagers of this generation always take things for granted but what if one day you were to wake up and find your life completely different. Its also good to have self control and know how to handle situations like these. Also in this book you learn how to appreciated people in your life. How to also be there for them.
The narrator learn in this story how to be there for his mom. He sets things to a side to be there for his mother. Although him and his mom at the beginning of the story did not have a good relation he learned how to put that to a side. This tought me that no matter what when someone needs you is important to be there for those you love. At the end his mother dies, but the young boy knew that this day would come soon. Although he went trough rough times with his mom the most important thing was that he was there for her. Him and his mother did have their differences but at the end they put things to the side. Is important to do what you thing is right and not to have so much pride inside. Be there for those who truly need you.

I loved reading this book. I read the book originally when it came out but ordered additional copies because I loan mine out and never get them back. Always good to keep a copy on hand. I highly recommend for anyone that likes a book that could turn into a Hallmark Movie.

The Time Keeper is a moving book about a mother and a son that go through a hard time in their lives. At the beginning of the book, the relationship between them is a little odd. Having constant arguments, yelling at each other and all these types of discussions is what makes the main character, Corey (the son) hate his mother even more. Corey is constantly mad, and has the attitude that doesn't care about anything but except for baseball. The story is told by the main character (Corey) and it guides the reader through his life. At one point when the reader does not expect it, the mother is diagnosed with cancer and that was when she needs her son to help her and give her the strength that she needs. That is when things start to fall into place.

The author keeps the reader interested while reading the novel. It keeps the reader wanting to read more and more and never put the book down. I thought it was an interesting book to read because it really opens your eyes. It makes you value your life and your relationship with your own mother. It makes you stop and think about all of the times you and your mom has gone through. It makes you realize how much a son or a daughter needs their mom. Because that was how it made me feel. It made me value my own mother and be there for her as much as I can. Because now i can finally see how much my mom or in fact, any mom, has sacrificed for their own children. For the readers who like drama genre books, I recommend you read it. I rate this book a two thumbs up.
