Hubert Horton McAlexander (born October 27, 1939) is an emeritus professor at the University of Georgia's English department and an author. He wrote books on Peter Taylor, Sherwood Bonner, and Strawberry Plains Audubon Center. McAlexander was born in Holly Springs, Mississippi. In 2018, McAlexander added a monument to the gravesite of Spires Boling at Hillcrest Cemetery. He has been a trustee of the estate of Kate Freeman Clark's paintings.
