JOURNEYS OF SIMPLICITY is a book of lists of stuff with which selected real and fictional people traveled through their lives. Some of the lists, such as the personal effects of Thomas Merton when he was found dead in a Bangkok hotel room after being electrocuted by his room fan, were heart-wrenching. In almost every case, they set off a little flash bulb of enlightenment. Each list was a window into a person's life (even if that "person" were Bilbo Baggins or Dostoyevsky's Father Zossima from THE BROTHERS KARAMAZOV).

Simplicity is a great book containing many wonderful poems. This book is for anyone to enjoy. You don't have to be a poet or a professional author to enjoy the works of Dean Thomas Andrews. Dean's poetry is unique in that he combines many ingredients such as emotion, life experiences, and the influences of those throughout his childhood and into his adulthood which has made him the man he is today. I would reccomend Simplicity to fans of poety or even those who have had no experience with reading or creating their own poems. The book is filled with a variety of poetry that anyone can enjoy or relate to. To sum it all up, Dean Thomas Andrews exposes his heart and soul to the reader by means of pen and paper. I found many of the poems to be touching and thought provoking. To conclude,I highly recommend Simplicity. Great job Dean!

Simplicity is a beautiful book that delves deep into the soul of the author. It is a spectacular thing to be able to describe your soul to the masses and to do it in such a beautiful medium such as poetry. This book tugged at my heart and also inspired me to be more than I am. The simplicity of this book is that it is able to convey meaning in everyday ideas and things and also to convey these to the public at large. I have a deep respect for this author and this work and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I recommend it for anyone who just wants to be inspired by beautiful poetry. Thanks Dean for creating this masterpiece.

While I am not usually fond of poetry, 'Simplicity' describes this book well. Now, that is not because it has no meaning - there are plenty of themes and in some non-forceful way advice. It is a short book but well worth a read and a re-read. The author promised more and I will be waiting for it.
