Milosz is a genius. His work is a deep and abiding gift to anyone who chooses to read and reflect on this great poet's work. He is one of three poets I refer to regularly in my own writing. Milosz does one thing all top-tier artists do: He improves the quality of life.

Must read, even if you are not a big fan of poetry. Does not read like modern poetry, nor like classical poetry. Has his own totally unique style. Deals with the nature of Soviet tyranny, religion, and pretty much everything else.
The poetry of Czeslaw Milosz was recommended to me by a published American poet, William Page. I was not disappointed.
