Antologia Poetica book. Antonio Machado is a Castillian Spanish poet from the last century. I find myself transfixed by the ordinary in reading his poetry-I guess that's part of being a mystic.

Book by Antonio Cisneros, Peter Elmore.

Antonio Machado is perhaps only rivalled by Federico Garcia Lorca among twentieth-century Spanish poets. Other than this, the two have little in common. Lorca, the younger poet-friend of Dalí and member of the avant-garde generation of ‘27-is surreal and phantasmagoric. Machado, member of the generation of ‘98, was more in the style of the cultured gentleman, more at home in the Spanish literary tradition.

Federico García Lorca (Fuente Vaqueros, Granada, 5 de junio de 1898 – entre Ví. .Books related to Federico García Lorca, antología.

A collection of poems that covers Machados entire literary career. Expressed in a lyrical form, these selected poems reflect on mankind, ones feelings, and basic preoccupations. At times, leaving behind reflections of the inner self, the author also focuses on themes such as nature and history.
