While I'm usually not one for romances, "Water, Stone, Heart" is a delightful and sweet romance of peoples' self-discovery that includes a delightful and wise child, a small but warm and caring Cornish Village, beautiful scenery, and a dangerous life-threatening natural event. The ending is beautiful, and I will say no more, because I wouldn't want to spoil the book for anyone who chooses to read it. My congratulations to Will North! I appreciate his recommendation of this book.

A great story that transports the reader to a place that allows the readers imagination to work. The reader will be introduced to a author who has developed beautiful writing skills and uses language to paint mind pictures that introduces the reader to a place they will desire to see on their own! The characters become excellent companions who force the reader to cheer for them or cry along with them, when they overcome or are defeated by life's assignments. I will not reveal the course of the story for each reader needs to make his/her own discovery,. I will say that for me this was an excellent reading choice,. A great story! Each person who I recommended this book to, returned to thank me for the recommendation. I would enjoy meeting this writer who was given the gift of story telling.

Will North can tell a story that sounds completely actionable, and then you discover it is based on true events. But true facts don't turn into great reading without a talented story master. Mr North weaves the lives of Andrew and Nichola in and around the tale of the worst flood disaster to happen in England. As you are absorbed into the daily lives of Cornwall, you are also treated to insights of the land itself and the vast sceanery of the area. Get out a map and follow along as you ride straight into this wonderful book.

This is a good read. The great "happening" was foretold in the little paragraph between chapters but it was hard to guess what that would really mean. I loved the intrigue! And just when you thought you knew the main characters, some new disclosure rocked that image to the core. Romance - yes of course - but so many life events made the characters seem real, not fantasy. I did like that it was based on a real event in a real town. Enjoy!

Avery different story than The Long Walk Home, but totally fascinating. The characters, again, are fully developed and engaging. I admire Mr. North for his ability to make the female psyche ring true.

Buy the book and read it, then find his other books.

This book was referred to me by Amazon because I love Anne River Siddons, and it did not disappoint. I was caught up in the story immediately and loved the characters and the way the plot developed. There are times when books can transport you to another world, keep you hooked and leave you wanting more. Water, Stone and Heart is one of those books. I am reading The Long Way Home by the same author, and finding the same reaction. I have found a new author to follow for sure!

This was a wonderful read that mixed history, good triumphing during tragedy, and people who are true friends & make connections that will last a lifetime in a simple & innocent way. Will developed a heartwarming story with a captivating young girl befriending the whole town with her wistful ways & mature knowledge. The description of the towns, the accuracy with which the floods were integrated into the story, the characters who have depth & the use of adjectives to paint pictures that transport you to the scene. Compared to Nicholas Sparks, Will is not a dime store novelist but writes with skill & story development. I have enjoyed all three of his books & hope for more to come.
In my travels I have been fortunate enough to have been to Cornwall. It is truly beautiful with just a hint of mystery about it. The main characters in the book are both adults who are searching for something and find it finally in each other. The other main character is a precocious little girl who is wise beyond her years with just a hint of the " fairies " about her. The books last part is about a natural disaster that brings them all together in the nicest way. A good read and interesting story
