Description

Selling My Soul by Sherri L. Lewis is a front-pew look at what can occur in the current church community. Her fourth completed novel, Selling My Soul, took right off and arrested my attention from the very beginning.

Selling My Soul by Sherri L. Ms. Lewis' story covers what can happen when some in the church hiearchy will do anything they can to make money and cover up wrong-doing. However, more importantly Selling My Soul speaks to the reality of believing faith. In this work of fiction where friendship is tested, Christian values tried, faith wavered and the possibilities of love being lost, in more ways than one, for Trina Michaels, the price to pay for selling her soul is much too high.

In this sequel to her debut novel, Sherri Lewis has created an amazing story of family, love, forgiveness, and redempton. SELLING MY SOUL really made my soul cry out... again!

When we first met Trina Michaels, she was a talented PR exec in the Baltimore area. Today, she has returned from a 2-hour missions trip in Africa... a changed woman. Serving in Africa opened Trina's eyes to the wonders of God. Returning home opens her eyes to so much more...

Though the story seems to begin with a predictable story line, SELLING MY SOUL is a powerful, eye opener! Trina experiences tests of faith and friendship that take the story through surprising twists and triumphs. You will easily find yourself gasping in shock, laughing out loud, and rejoicing with joy! Gabriel Woods is an angel from above who sheds new light on dark situations. He declares, 'His sovereignty over all is still intact, even in America... The king's heart is in His hands, yes?' The story is powerful and sure to increase your faith, so read on...

SELLING MY SOUL is a worthy treasure! I highly recommend this pageturner.

Selling My Soul by Sherri L. Lewis is a front-pew look at what can occur in the current church community. Ms. Lewis' story covers what can happen when some in the church hiearchy will do anything they can to make money and cover up wrong-doing. However, more importantly Selling My Soul speaks to the reality of believing faith.

I love the honest, contemporary telling of the story of Trina Michaels returning from Africa to find her mother very ill and her former pastor caught up in scandal. Trina is torn because she needs to work but her sense of loyalty to her friends and what is right also plagues her. The one thing Trina knows for sure is that she will have to turn it over to God, because only he can deliver them.

I recommend Selling My Soul to all who love contemporary Christian fiction, written in a non-judgemental but spirit-filled manner. It would also make a good introduction to Christian fiction for those who never read the genre.

I am NOT surprised at how well written this book is. The sequel to My Soul Cries Out..which was phenomenal was her debut novel. this book allowed us to catch up on the lives of two friends that have taken two very different life paths, are as different as night and day, and are both still very supportive of one another. This read has all of the conflict, drama,& relative content matter a contemporary fiction reader will love. Besides that, the authors ability to tie in controversial issues facing African American Churches and the Hetero/homosexual community is enlightening, refreshing and touching.
A very easy and satisfying read.Ms.lewis is not "preachy" by any means, but delivers a power-filled,thought provoking and juicey novel that will prick, convict and draw people into asking themselves some of the hard life/spiritual questions. This is a great Book Club offering as well.It will have you discussing late into the day or night. Great job and I would highly recommend this book!

Upon getting this Kindle as a Christmas gift from Hubby, he included lots of promotions that didn't run out until recently. I ran across this sequel to "My Soul Cries Out" and was excited to make my first purchase and find out what's been going on with Monica & Kevin, Trina and her family. I wasn't disappointed. I was also glad to see Lewis brush on the subject of how ones ministry is successful, but the leader is tainted (to say the least). It's both puzzling and troubling how the one who represents God isn't striving to live godly. What makes us godly isn't being the fact that we are perfect, but that we strive for perfection, through Jesus Christ, by humble submission to Him. Job well done Sherri L. Lewis!

This book it was a spinoff of My Soul Cries Out. The things friends have to go through in order to see what God will do if you just trust Him. If we are doing something against the will of God, the truth will eventually come out. Sometimes pastors get so caught up in the money, the prestige, and the overwhelming power of the devil, that they forget their direction and their congregation. But it is awful when a pastor says that he don't believe in God and that he has always been a smooth talker and thats how he got his church started and now he has a mega church and followers that will follow him anywhere.

As I write this review, I'll try my best not to be bias, as Sherri L. Lewis is one my favorite Christian Fiction Authors. Her fourth completed novel, Selling My Soul, took right off and arrested my attention from the very beginning.

In this work of fiction where friendship is tested, Christian values tried, faith wavered and the possibilities of love being lost, in more ways than one, for Trina Michaels, the price to pay for selling her soul is much too high. Nevertheless, this Master Story Teller never ceases to amaze me with her affectionate ability to bring the height of man's and God's love to life.

As a Christian Fiction Author, Sherri exemplifies the necessary expertise required to master this anecdote. The spiritual dialogue used in the tale, along with the realization of God's healing and deliverance power, reminds me of the cherished, covenant, connection that we as Christians have with God the Father. It literally made me want to lay prostrate, acknowledging His Glory, and the inheritance we have in being joint heirs with His son Jesus Christ. At least that's the affect it had on me.

This sequel to 'My Soul Cries Out' (My Favorite) lay to rest all of my unanswered questions. I especially enjoyed the journey that Ms. Lewis takes us on to Mozambique Africa. She definitely delivered and carried out the purpose of the sequel and I'm sure that all Fans of 'My Soul Cries Out' will be well pleased. I was.
