Irish Thoroughbred

It was a dream come true for Irish lass Adelia Cunnane—to work with her uncle, a horse trainer at Royal Meadows, one of the most renowned stables in the world. But there was a catch, and his name was Travis Grant. He was the stable's owner, and a man as proud, as passionate, as opinionated as…herself.

Irish Rose

When Adelia's feisty cousin Erin McKinnon first meets Burke Logan, she's not impressed. He's a womanizing, cigar-smoking gambler who won the farm beside Royal Meadows in a game of poker. He has money—too much for Erin's liking—and a bad reputation. But Burke keeps staring at her—and Erin keeps finding herself staring back.

And she's beginning to think she may have finally met her match….

I know this might sound corny but I couldn't put this book down once I began reading it. I loved every character and I even fell in love with Royal Meadows and yes Burke Logan. I pictured everything in my head as if I was really there. The Irish characters struck a special cord with me concidering I am half Irish and proud of it. What I really enjoyed is that the loves scenes were intimate, yet not pornographic as some books can be. If you enjoy good romance reading this is the book to get.

I love this book and these stories. There is enough emotional upheaval to make the story interesting, but it's the kind of story that is a comfortable reread (in fact, I'm writing this review after purchasing this book because my original copy went missing). Great stories and I highly recommend the third book in this trilogy, Irish Rebel.

ok, written earlier in Roberts career, so not as character developed as hoped

The first half "Irish Hearts" is "Irish Thoroughbred" and it sucked! Adelia and Travis were the parents in "Irish Rebel" a story about their oldest daughter Keeley and Brian Donnelly, that was a good story...but this one of their start was awful. I can't even make myself read the second half of this book "Irish Rose"..its suppose to be about Adelia cousin.
