This is an intesting book. I do love Carl Weber, but I did have a hard time getting into this book initially. The premise that a woman would go to such lengths to orchetrate her husband's new wife was difficult for me.

Once again, we visit First Jamaica Ministries where the fist lady Charlene Wilson is dying of cancer, but is determined to find the bishop a wife from the grave. She proves to everyone just how much of a master manipulator she can be.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the next installation.

This book was the follow up to "The Preachers' Son" and as I finished reading the last word of "The First Lady" I must shake my head in pure disappointment but know that I'm excited too because now I can read something more interesting. This doesn't hold a candle to "TPS" or any other Carl Weber books, at least the ones I've read of his thus far. All I know is that I was excited about the release of this book and couldn't wait to get it, despite some of the reviews in regard to this book I went against their word because I as I'm sure many of you will want to read it for yourself, but the more I read the more I had to make myself continue because 1) I paid my money for it and 2) I wanted to what would happen concerning the characters Marlene and Monique. The stories concerning these two characters were the best out the book, the rest of was just enough to say DAMN! Get on with it. While I will say I've read worse, I'd have to say if you want to know who will become the first lady wait to get this book used!10$ or less or save yourself both time and money and just ask someone who have read it. This was not all that great! It's not horrible but it's just not up to par. It left ALOT to be desired! Maybe Next time.

This is an intesting book. I do love Carl Weber, but I did have a hard time getting into this book initially. The premise that a woman would go to such lengths to orchetrate her husband's new wife was difficult for me.

However, as I got into the book, I did enjoy the dialogue, the fact that TK was not perfect (still loving him from The Preacher's Son and So you Call Yourself a Man) and that he reconized that he did need a wife for a variety of reasons (most of the churches I have dealt with require the pastor to be married.)

I was really intrigued watching the women, all of which had it going on in their own special way, fall apart as they competed for the attention of the Pastor...and if you have ever seen how women interact and compete for a Pastor's attention...well, it's comedy to watch. I was, however, highly disturbed at how the letters written on behalf of the dying first lady had the potential to destroy lives, and it almost did in two cases. Definately a good read. Enjoy

Overall i thought the book was well documented. However, truly out side of my normal genre of material. Mr Weber does have a sense of true life instances where you could get lost in someone else's drama, but too much drama in one story for me. I was very intrigued how he dances around the idea of how some church folks are, while staying away from directly accusing a preachers positions to be of such. Overall a good book for the night stand. Thanks Mr Weber.

Be careful how you treat people. The person you think is substandard can be elevated in their status at anytime. This book lightheartedly displayed games that go on in the church.

This book is another awesome work of Carl Weber. It started slow but ending with a TKO like Muhammad Ali. You can never go wrong with a Carl Weber read

It seems like only church going people get offended in reading this book from the reviews I read.. however the book does suggest some real dramas of the church.
This story was deep how the first lady tried to plan out her husband's life after she was gone. I think if I would retitle this book it would be Match Making from the Grave.
