Home Debbie Macomber Cindy and the Prince. Am I? Cindy asked herself as the night progressed. In every image, Cindy and her prince were at the center of the Grand Ballroom, arms entwined around each other. Dusting Mr. Prince’s outer office granted her the solitude to think about the magic of a Christmas ball, and she realized her friend was right once again. Cindy had never thought of herself as transparent, but she would gladly have submitted to the taunts of two ugly stepsisters for the chance to attend such a gala event. Only she didn’t have any stepsisters, ugly or not, and she wasn’t Cinderella. Well? Vanessa said, startling Cindy.

Cindy and the Prince is a work of fiction. Debbie Macomber When she left the Financial Center for the dark, windy streets of Manhattan, her mind was still on the tall, dark man in the photograph

Cindy and the Prince is a work of fiction. Names, characters, places, and incidents either are the product of the author’s imagination or are used fictitiously. Chapter 1. Someday your prince will come, Vanessa Wilbur sang in a strained falsetto voice as she ran a duster along the top of the bookcase. Cindy Territo ignored her work partner and vigorously rubbed the thirtieth-story window, removing an imaginary smudge from the glass. When she left the Financial Center for the dark, windy streets of Manhattan, her mind was still on the tall, dark man in the photograph. It wasn’t like her to be so affected by a man simply because he was good-looking.

It was juvenile and not at all enjoyable reading. If I were Debbie Macomber I would not allow this novel to be published. It felt like something she must have written in junior high school ! I was very disappointed. I usually really enjoy her books.

I enjoy reading all of the books written by Debbie Macomber. Ordering older books at this time so I can read her first publications.

I always listen to audio books every day on my commute to work. I love Debbie Macomber books but this one is the worst she has written. I can listen to most bad story lines but this one is ridicules.

Cindy and the Prince is the first book in the Legendary Lovers series by popular American author, Debbie Macomber. Cindy Territo, janitor of executive offices. Thorndike Prince, high-ranking NYC executive. A match made in heaven? Cindy doesn’t think so. She cleans his offices after hours and has seen the photo of the pretty brunette on his desk. But when Cindy rescues an invitation to his company Christmas Ball from the trash can, her idea is to see if he could be her Prince Charming. And the attraction between them is instant, strong and mutual. But when Cindy slips away at midnight, he doesn’t have even a glass slipper to track her down. Macomber gives the reader a very likeable hero, a sweet heroine and plenty of miscommunications to provide both humour and heartache. A fun read with a feel-good ending.

I found this modern-day Cinderella story to be so enchanting and magical that I literally smiled the entire time I spent reading through it! Set in Manhattan at Christmastime, it's a highly romantic feel-good fantasy about making one's dreams come true! Cindy could have saved herself, and the Prince, a lot of emotional turmoil and heartache if she would have had the courage to communicate more openly and honestly with him, and I found that back-and-forth part of the story a bit frustrating to read, but otherwise, it was a sweet and delightul story.
