This book is a very special book, and it is dedicated to my very, very, very wonderful children: Beatrix, Trevor, Todd, Nick, Sam, Victoria, Vanessa, Maxx, and Zara, who have seen me through just about every minute of my adult life, and all of my writing career, and are the greatest joy of my existence. But most of the magazine work she did was portraits of important people who she thought were worthwhile and interesting. She had published a remarkable book of portraits, another of children, and was going to publish a book of her photographs from India soon. She was fortunate to be able to do whatever she wanted. She could pick and choose among the many requests she got.

This book is a book full of real characters that you love to live and live to hate. It's a must read. A pager turner you hate to put down. There are surprises after surprises which get better and better as the book gets deeper and deeper. This is by far the most intense Danielle Steel book I've read yet, chock full of the most real characters I've encountered, and the most lovable heroine yet!! I will remember this book for a long time and think of it's story often.

I loved this book! As all Danielle Steel's novels do, this one draws you in immediately. "Matters of the Heart" is not merely a romance but has enough suspense to keep you reading late into the night. I could not put it down & I hated to see it end. I spend so much time on my computer & phone with social media, email, news, etc., I had forgotten how wonderful it is to get lost in a good book! So happy I rediscovered that feeling!

It was an amazing book, but all of Danielle Steel's book are great! I have all her books, and already pre-ordered her latest book coming out in seven days. I can't wait to get it.

I liked the plot of the book, but I find that the author unnecessarily repeats facts, to the point of ridiculousness. This may be the last DS book I purchase.

Danielle has another book that is hard to put down until you’ve read the whole book. It has love and romance, but troubling things happen to make the reader want Hope to not trust this man that was pursuing her desperately. I love all of Danielle’s books.

Interesting story and a fast read. At times it seemed repetitious. Characters were well put together and interesting thoughts about how a sociopath operates. I loved the suspense in this story. Danielle Steel doesn't disappoint!

I found this book to be very disturbing and depressing...definitely not why I read. I usually find DS books to be light reading so this was a horrible surprise. Awful story and depressing. Don't bother reading....waste of time! :-)
I have purchased many Kindle books and magazines. Most of them I even got to read once. Then my kindle died. I had to get my son-in-law and my husband to download and install kindle for the PC in order to recover my books. My magazines which I had continued to be docked for out of my social security money are just gone. I never even got to read them once even though I had paid for them.

Kindle for the PC would not install on some of our computers, for reasons unknown, so even that was a bust. In is NOT the next best thing!
