Marcus Major is an awesome African American writer. I love all his books and especially this one. After being on the hunt for the entire series for years now I finally read Four Guys and Trouble, the worst thing about this book is that it ended and now he has no more books for me to read. I always thought I did not like reading, but his beautifully eloquent writing coupled with hilarious american slang and exciting romance made it thrilling!

For seeing Erika in this new light has some disturbing consequences: it gives the guys an eye-opening dose of the double standard they so casually apply to the women in their lives, and the not-so-gentle-manly way they treat their supposedly special ladies.

For seeing Erika in this new light has some disturbing consequences: it gives the guys an eye-opening dose of the double standard they so casually apply to the women in their lives, and the not-so-gentle-manly way they treat their supposedly special ladies. Could their adorable little sister cause such a crisis and be the catalyst for such change? Masculine pride won't admit it, but Erika unexpectedly gives more than she ever got - by making them better me. -BOOK JACKET. Title Summary field provided by Blackwell North America, Inc. 4 Guys and Trouble comes highly recommended. Major wrote a wonderful and entertaining book. 4 Guys and Trouble should cement Major newfound place near the top of our contemporary AA genre. I barely contained myself, because I just knew that the unread half was as good, if not better than the first half.

Marcus Major, author of the Blackboard best-seller Good Peoples, crafts this fun, stylish and delightfully perceptive tale of four best friends, an oath--and one very special young woman. Colin, Dexter, Ibn, and Michael have been inseparable since college. Besides sharing similar interests, they have someone very important in common--Erika. Erika is the little sister of a friend who died, and they've promised to watch out for her. But when Erika grows up into a very attractive woman, it proves increasingly difficult for the guys to ignore their changing feelings for her. Narrator Ezra Knight gives the listener a front row seat as the group's dynamic is disturbed by Erika's new relationship and each friend is forced to re-evaluate the way he treats the women in his life.
