True comedy and so much more. With a genius child pushing things along Cassidy has no choice but to fall in love with a rancher with ripples. Although she has a false body image that apparently causes people to have to duck, the lady has enough charm to win her the hero's heart. It only took one kiss. A hilariously amazing book, this is worth the time and money to acquire.

This was a cute book. It was fluffy in parts, but overall I enjoyed it and it left me with a good feeling. Day Leclaire is one of my favorite authors.

This has been one of my favorite books from harlequin. Read it years ago when it originally came out, and was very happy to see it now on Kindle.

Hutch Lonigan had the perfect idea for his mother's birthday. As a "very" smart kid -- who's already in the 7th grade in the age of 10 -- Hutch always loved a good challenge. And finding his mom a husband -- while also got a good grade for his upcoming science project -- will be the greatest challenge of all!! So, with determined will, this kid walked into Yellow Rose Matchmaker agency, gave his nine dollars -- and change -- , and demanded the best man he could get.
Ty Merrick, 31, the silent partner of the agency was given the "job" by his Grandma to help Hutch out with the list. He didn't want to but he couldn't say no. So he helped Hutch fills out the questionnare for his Mom. But when the computer said the person who was suited for Hutch's Mom, Cassidy, Ty got the surprise -- and challenge -- of his own
The idea of a 10-year-old kid wanting a Dad for nine dollars was so cute for me. And I always love Day Leclaire's writing. She managed to create such a light-hearted and sweet story. The scenes Hutch created to make his Mom and Ty fell in love were smart, annoying, and adorable at the same time. I loved the way Ty handled Hutch since the kid was a little bit insecured, being very smart and all. And one of the best scenes in this book was of course when Ty had to convince his love to Cassidy. How did he do it? Hint: One of Demi Moore's movie title.

I laughed, cried and wanted to find Lonnie and kick the snot out of him.
Hutch Lonigan was scary smart, so he figured he would find a dad by finding a husband for his much loved mom.
Hutch wants a good man in his and his mom's life who won't run out on them. Ty is that man.
Cassidy loved her very smart son, but he was so far ahead of her in brains she just excepted anything he said, because he was the smart one. (I understand that my son was the same way, but don't worry when he hit 21, he became just like all men.)
Lonnie left his wife and son because Hutch was so smart he thought he should be gotten rid of.
Ty Merrick fell in love with Cassidy at first kiss.
Cassidy has a secret(of course Hutch knows, but she doesn't know he knows, even though she should in that he is so smart)
Now if that isn't a great formal for a good book nothing is.
Hutch's many plots to get his sometimes dumb mom to except Ty as his new father, and her husband was laugh out loud funny.
Cassidy having a problem with her body parts being longer then what she thinks they are, causing Ty to take quick evasive actions was rib tickling.
But Lonnie needed a good face plant, into the slim he crawled out of.

Humor - love - tension- a bit of a mystery!

What was Cassidy after besides a home and roots for herself and her son, Hutch.

Hutch was a self-proclaimed brainiac. But he didn't freak out Ty Merrick.

You just have to love Cassidy's self-image. Three inches difference?

Ty was intrigued by Cassidy and skeptical of his grandmother's reasoning and he definitely didn't trust the computers.

The episodes when Hutch tried so hard to complete his experiments in love with his mother and Ty were hilarious.

But tender love is woven throughout the story of a boy needing a father and his mother needing a husband. Hutch's version.

This is the third in the "Yellow Rose Matchmakers" and the set is definitely worth reading -- and may be a logical keeper for wonderful reading.

Definitely Recommended --M

This was a sweet, funny, well written book that I know I will want to read again. I will be keeping my copy, unless it becomes available on kindle or nook.
Since plenty of plot summary's been done, I'll just add a couple of comments: Cassidy's a very likeable heroine, but she struck me as just a bit too naive and trusting when it came to her son's goodhearted plotting. On the plus side, Ty, the hero, has some of the best lines ever spoken by a romance hero after a power outage. That one scene's nearly enough to make you cry.
