Daisies in the Wind book. Truly enjoyed this book. She certainly makes the characters very interesting. Will be reading more of Jill Gregory in the future. A true romance story.

The run-down outlaw shack hidden among the sage-gray rocks and juniper appeared empty. But Wolf Bodine knew better than to trust appearances . cavalry had taught him shrewdness and caution. As he sidled through the rough-hewn door, his gun was drawn and at the ready, and every muscle in his large, rugged frame was taut. But it seemed his caution was for nothing, Wolf concluded in disappointment after prowling through the main room of the.

Daisies In The Wind - Jill Gregory. But no one in the welcoming committee paid any of them the least heed-they all stared with varying degrees of amazement at the slender, dark-haired girl in the sapphire-blue silk traveling dress who paused in the street and regarded them with quiet appraisal. For a moment there was silence as the sun beat down, the horses tossed their heads, and the wind whistled down from the mountains. Then the girl straightened her shoulders, pushed back a loose tendril of her heavy hair, and strode across the street with brisk, assured steps.

It didn't keep me as interested as all the other Jill Gregory books I have read. But overall, it was pretty good.

A strong outspoken female and a moral sensitive man with a strong sexual undercurrent throughout the book. It didn't keep me as interested as all the other Jill Gregory books I have read.

This is probably one of the most interesting romance novels I've ever read--I've read plenty about the hero going after the outlaw who has kidnapped his woman, but never anything about the daughter of an outlaw! It brought a new dimension to the prevalent idea that outlaw= only evil monsters......there are three sides to the story: the outlaw's side, the officer's side, and the truth. And the truth is often a mix of the two. So was the case of the outlaw's daughter who falls in love with the sheriff of the last town her father ran through and robbed.

Something else truly horrible happened when her father and his gang ran through the town, and that makes for a LOT of trouble when she first arrives. I think JG did a really amazing job here showing not only what women have to endure in terms of their reputations, but also the reputations of their family members being transferred to them.

The romance between the heroine and the hero was well plotted out and I loved their clashes! An amazing book!

Rebecca is the daughter of an outlaw and after he dies she travels to the ranch he owned to start a new life. The sheriff is the man she has dreamed about since meeting him several years ago. Trying to become accepted in the community, she becomes the school teacher and tries to fit in. Her father's former gang members peruse her trying to find her father's silver mine. There's adventure, Intrigue, and romance. There might be a few tears, so keep your hankie close. This is a good story about relationship building and overcoming evil. If you like cowboy stories, you'll enjoy this.

I'm glad I've been introduced to this new author. This story once again keeps you interested from the beginning to the end. If you like reading about cowboys and the 19 th century, Jill Gregory is your go to person.

Good western with lots of action, mistrustful sherrif , slick & creepy villains.

Lonely school teacher sets off to make a new life for herself. Arrives as a hero then when they hear her name all goes down hill fast. The new town is not going to soon forget her father & his gang robbed, killed there and she's a magnet for bad element because rumour has it she's hiding a silver mine.

Storyline idea was original, heroine was gutsy and independent minded.Again the editing was atrocious. I've encountered quite a few stories like this, and it's both frustrating to story continuity and understanding what is taking place. There are pieces of sentences left out and not carried to the next page or Ther are paragraphs cut out to make it it in the electronic spacing. No effort is made to coordinate thoughts to the reader. The ones who paid hard earned $ to be able to read the book. Words at the end of a line are divided in the wrong places and what's left is carried to the next beginning line such as:Matt-
Erred instead of mat-
Tered. Who ever does the editing of these books where oh where did he/she go to school OR did they go to school at all.there is a lack of positive regard for the people buying the books in the non-delivery of a quality done editing job

Jill Gregory writes a wonderful story, invokes emotion and cares deeply about children. One cannot write what she does without loving children. She puts the reader into the head and heart of each character. If only more people could think like her hero, care to delve deeper into an action like our heroine did, what a wonderful world this would be. I guess that's why we love fiction--it gives us hope in mankind.

This is a great series and I hope Jill Gregory writes more of them. I haven't finished all of them but I intend to. The stories hold your attention and they tell a great story.
I really enjoyed this book. Loved the characters. Reb came from nothing to something. She won the heart of the town sheriff and his son. And they lived happily ever after..........well, there was a ways to get there but they succeeded.
