Very urbane, John Travis agreed, taking in the drops of chunky gold that dangled from her earlobes and mixed with strands of long blond hair that ran faintly lawless back from her face. A trio of heavy gold bracelets circled her wrist and clashed with the bright coral jacket she wore over a grape-colored cashmere tunic and slacks. A gold flyaway coat, carelessly thrown over the arm of the sofa, completed the bold and thoroughly modern ensemble-an ensemble that few women had the flair to carry off with any degree of sophistication.

I liked the story. However, I am always irritated when I am engrossed in a book and spelling errors or the wrong word appears. I never post book reviews, but this book is so full of copy editing mistakes it took away the pleasure.

A really great read up until the end. The ending left a LOT to be desired. Very disappointed by it, surprised that one of my favorite author 's choice of ending sucked.

Not up to Janet Dailey's usual standards. This book needs edited horribly. The story line was choppy and hard to follow. Wanted to quit reading the book numerous times but held out hope for it to get better. No luck.

I loved the story and the characters. I never expected it to end the way it did. I had to sleep but thoughts of the story kept me awake for quite awhile

This was a great book, but so is everything she writes. Loved the story with its interesting content. Waiting for her next one.

While I was very disappointed in the quality of the ebook version, the story is excellent if a bit slow to develop. There are so many typographical errors in the ebook that it is distracting. There is no excuse for this; the book is overpriced due to this factor.
