In such cases, if the data warrant an attempt at precision, the problem is attacked by assuming reasonable values for the interfacial temperatures, obtaining k, for each material, and then determining the heat flux per unit area by (. 2). Using this result, the assumed values of the interfacial temperatures may be improved by application of Fourier’s law to each layer, beginning.

I was glad to receive this book very quickly in the mail because I needed this book to help me study for my next exam. It is one of the best purchases I hv ever made. This book is so helpful to me. I highly recommend this to anyone who is taking A & P.

Used this for college AP 1 and 2. Great help when studying for tests and gives added clarification on some topics.

If you are looking for a book that only stresses the main points of human anatomy and physiology, this is the right book. But if you are looking for in-depth study of this topic, then buy a textbook. The book's title is what the book is about: an OUTLINE of human anatomy and physiology. It has everything you need to know about A&P without carrying a whole textbook. It's compact and fits in any backpacks. Best of all, this book is easy-to-read & understand and there are no spelling mistakes, so I guaranteed you'll do fine if you know learn everything from this book. (sigh) I wish I know this book when it first came out.

Do you want an "A" and still have a life? Then buy this book. I've gotten A's from my first two A&P classes because of it.
I have no science background. The assigned textbook is so huge I avoid looking at it as much as possible. Instead, I rely on my lecture notes and Schaum's when ever I can. Yes, there are times I am forced to use my assigned text, but there are plenty of times when Schaum's covers the point without wasting my time, and highlights important concepts as well.
So do yourself a favor and buy this Outline...unless you like the idea of going blind over a 50 pound tome while your social life withers and dies from neglect.

I have to disagree with the review that said this book was for beginners. It's certainly not although no study guide is going to touch what your course book has in regards to information. It is very good at hitting all the main points and explaining them in very easy to understand language. It is definetely more in depth then some of the other guides out there. I used this guide a long side my text and class notes and easily got an A in A+P. PLEASE REMEMBER it's JUST A GUIDE. It's like CLIFF NOTES for a textbook. You won't get EVERYTHING FROM A STUDY GUIDE
For such a well-acclaimed book, it is frustrating to see authors' poor understanding of chemistry basics. Contrary to what the authors say, the ionic bond is not weaker than the covalent bond, which is proven by the same authors in the very next sentence after the erroneous statement, where they mention higher melting point of NaCl.
Page 26 takes it even further. To say that the "mole" is a unit of weight may be excusable for a freshman who does not still have a grasp of chemistry basics, but for two full professors... it is nothing less than an unjustifiable blunder, furthermore aggravated by its confusing power due to being uttered by authority of such a rank.
