David E. I rented this book for my differential equations class at the University of Utah. I thought the book was very straightforward and easy to understand. The writing is good I thought.

Instead of purchasing a solutions manual for this DiffieEq book, I'd just recommend using Cramster. For free they've got AWESOME solutions to all odds which clearly explain what's going on, and for ten bucks a month they got you covered on all the evens as well. Just Google "Cramster" and you'll be set!!
