This book does a very good job of teaching the basic calculus needed for the AP.Newton invented calculus to solve physics problems. This book sticks to practical applications of problem solving.

This book does a very good job of teaching the basic calculus needed for the AP Physics C exam. Actually, it does a great job of giving the basic calculus - physics connections for most of what is needed in a first year calculus based physics course. material so that they can solve the problem - leave the theory to the graduate students please. The only reason it didn't rank as a five-star book is that it is slightly overpriced for the amount of material covered. If students have problems with math in my class, this is the book that I recommend.
