The book is another reference for me as a beginner in this hobby. Fairly current information (this is a rapidly changing field) and good information.

The book had a lot of information in it. I was looking for a lot more detail on the different species and how they can/should be introduced into their new enviornment.

Just got done selling it to a local bookstore...It's brief aquarium in the setup dept. and the fish description is jumbled together with a mish mash of pics that don't pertain to the listed fish! If you want a half way decent fish description book it's ok but when it comes to aquarium setup and operation pass on this one....the Dakin book and Fenner book are still the best!
I cannot afford this book but perused it at a library in another town. It...is....quite simply.......the only book that one would need to UNDERSTAND a salt water tank, except in terms of discussion of "the latest piece of equipment".
