Then I purchased "The Decision" by Penny Vincenzi. Guess what? Different title, different book cover but the same book. I am out the price of the book and now have two copies of the same story. I cannot believe she is aware of this rip off but now that I think about it, she has to know.

She really felt she might throw up, then and there. All over the registrar’s table. The registrar’s table. In Chelsea Town Hall. Not the altar in Wellesley village church oes. Her white pumps, with those wonderful red bows on them, that echoed the red bows on her dress. Her short lace dress, not a long, full-skirted satin dress. A very short white lace dress with red bows all down the front. The ceremony continued; they made their vows, were declared man and wife, exchanged a kiss. She felt better now, turned, smiled into the room.

I really like Penny Vincenzi’s books – you know that you are guaranteed an interesting plot, well written characters and an element of surprise. Like Vincenzi’s other books, The Decision is quite weighty (and the large format paperback was still cheaper than the ebook). The Decision is no exception. It is slightly unusual in that you know what will happen to the main characters Eliza and Matt ultimately – it’s no secret that they will get divorced. But it is an interesting reflection on what leads to a marriage and then its downfall.

PENNY Vincenzi’s latest novel is as chunky as a breezeblock so it should please her many fans. The Decision speeds along, sweeping you into its intricately woven saga, spiriting you back to the Swinging Sixties, the era of fast living, unparalleled style and golden opportunities. It will send you on a readathon and she is such a great seductress that you won’t want to take a break, even to fill the kettle. What decade could match it? We follow the emotional and material fortunes of the two principal characters, Eliza and Matt.

For followers of Penny Vincenzi's fast paced, sexy novels, this one does not disappoint. The characterisation in this one is a bit shallow and superficial and plot points are fairly predictable. Penny Vincenzi excells in making readers care for her characters, despite flaws in their personalities.
The details here of the fashion industry and London in the 60's are interesting and make this more than just another romantic novel.
Great literature it ain't, but it's a lot of fun and you really care for the outcome of individuals.
I found the climax of scenes to be - on occasion - a bit forced. I've seen her use the same literary devices over and over in other books..but I still enjoyed the read.

This Book kept me page turning from the first chapter. I felt I knew the characters , but Penny Vincenzi is excellent at describing the characters in her books. The story moved on and I did not want to put the book down and was sad when I came to the last page.
An excellent story and very well written, would recommend to anyone who likes a good read, could not fault it.

Not one of her best, but still a solid read. I've been fan for many many years and a new PV is always a treat. Maybe it's because this story was a tad too predictable that it didn't wow me -- I like her more layered stories and the characters in this one seemed shallow and "made up"
Also, the period she choose felt forced -- like she was trying to write a story within the boundaries of the sixties -- for whatever reason I didn't love it -- and that is a first for me
I purchased "More than you Know" by Penny Vincenzi. I read it and enjoyed it. The copyright
date was 2012. Then I purchased "The Decision" by Penny Vincenzi. Guess what? Different
title, different book cover but the same book. I am out the price of the book and now have
two copies of the same story. I tried to email Penny. I cannot believe she is aware of this
rip off but now that I think about it, she has to know. This is so unfair to her readers. I
have a copy of every book she has written. I love her writing. I am sad about this deceit.

It started a bit slow for the first ten pages, but if you keep going it is classic Penny Vincenzi. It's a totally different world - that is the world of the rich and privileged as well as the struggling normal people trying to make a difference. It make a great read - a great escape from real life.
It's happy and sad with very real emotions and situations as well as some fantasy, that is, the way the wealthy live. It keeps you reading just to see what else is going to happen and I enjoyed it thoroughly. LOVE PENNY VINCENZI !!!!!!!!
