I only knew the Doc Savage novels from some paperbacks I originally bought in the 70's. Much to my delight, I have discovered that these volumes not only contain original art which accompanied the stories, but are unedited versions of the original works as well. I had not realized that the work of Robeson had been edited for publication. Reading these works as he originally intended the stories to be read is an unparalleled treat! I am finally fully experiencing the genre as it was meant to be experienced. I can't recommend these volumes highly enough for Doc Savage fans. Those who remember the original works as well as those who have never had the opportunity to read the original magazines will appreciate this collection.

I am delighted with the Doc Savage set 1-20. This came directly from the source and I am able to get additional magazines in the collection. Amazon has been great in feeding my Doc Savage obession, not only by providing the product but a link to other sources.

The initial price looked high, but broken down to a book-by-book basis, & it was a real steal!

Mine were in great condition.

Of course, this was when the sets were first offered. Now, the price has gone up.
