The Growth Of A City book. I have a new appreciation for the history of Portland Oregon now. I grew up just two hours south, but it was always a place to avoid, if at all possible. It was too big. It was too crowded.
The Growth Of A City book. After reading MacColl's book, I want to go there and study its history evern further. Studying history in college, I especially learned from Kimbark MacColl's way of doing history and writing about history. Would have loved to meet the man, but he passed away several years ago, unfortunately. It isn't necessar I have a new appreciation for the history of Portland Oregon now.
