Thomas C. Reeves (born 1936) is a . historian who specializes in late 19th and 20th century America. Born into a blue collar family in Tacoma, Washington, Reeves received his . at Pacific Lutheran University, his . at the University of Washington, and his P. in history at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1966. After four years at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs, he went on to become a professor of history at the University of Wisconsin–Parkside.

George Reeves (born George Keefer Brewer; January 5, 1914 – June 16, 1959) was an American actor. He is best known for his role as Superman in the 1950s television program Adventures of Superman. His death at age 45 from a gunshot remains a controversial subject; the official finding was suicide, but some believe that he was murdered or the victim of an accidental shooting.
