About writing this book: I got the germ of an idea from a friend of mine who, one night, told me the story of her father’s unmarried sisters, both of whom died within months of each other. Her father was going through their personal effects afterwards and found a birth certificate. One of his sisters had given birth to a baby years before and had given the child up for adoption. What is so fabulous about this emotional, very readable book is the way it's told through the contrasting voices of Kat and Milo. By (author) Ciara Geraghty. Another great story by Ciara Geraghty. I loved the characters and story line. I did find Milo's dialogues a wee bit painful to read, but understand why they were written this way... now to decide which of Ciara's books is next?!

Other books by the author were much better. It was very hard to like the character of Kat and her BFF Minnie. Loved Milo though.

This book was very entertaining - I enjoyed it immensely
OwerSpeed OwerSpeed
It was well written and in everyday language from the view of a small boy and an adult who had a crazy life. The story came together well at the end with everyone binding.

A brilliant, page turning book . I loved that it was through two sets of eyes and yet the role reversal was tremendous. The book introduced so many complicated characters and yet it never felt overcrowdedI couldnt put it down.

Likeable characters and a sweet but implausible story. Kat Kavanagh needs a good slap most of the time but Milo is a compelling character and his journey kept me interested
I loved it and would read it again. I had everything a good story should have; great plot, great characters, humour, pathos and drama.
