Elizabeth Kay (Goodreads Author), Ted Dewan (Illustrator). This book was about how a boy knew all about a magic world that was kept secret because if humans found out about it then there would be chaos. BACK TO THE DIVIDE is a fine sequel for readers who enjoyed THE DIVIDE, the first book in the trilogy. I must admit, though, that I was not as entertained by it as I was by the original. What we call a pixie came into the human world and froze the boy's parents because of some magic book that allowed people and magic creatures to go to each others' worlds.

Felix is back in the real world after his extraordinary adventure in "The Divide". But so too is Snakeweed, the villainous Japegrin who's followed him home - and he needs the enchanted formula hidden in Felix's notebook. Snakeweed's visit brings disaster. He turns Felix's parents to stone and, worse, his wicked spell seems to be spreading like a sinister virus. To find a countercharm, Felix must return to the magical place he discovered last year.

Last summer, Felix had the adventure of a lifetime in the fantastical world beyond the Divide. Now, he's living peacefully with his parents. But not for long..... Snakeweed, the arch villain, is still at large. Having failed to sell his dark magic to the real world, he wants to go back home. All he needs to get there is the spell hidden in Felix's notebook. So Snakeweed pays a visit to Felix - and freezes his parents with a horrible curse that begins to spread like a magical disease. Soon the curse is affecting everything - and Earth itself may be in danger. Felix must summon his courage and head back to the Divide. It is only there that Felix will find the countercharm that can cure his parents......and save the world.

I know this book is for teenagers, but I have already read it and re-read it multiple times! It is definitely better if you read the first book first, but of the whole trilogy this one is definitely my favorite.

The copy I received was a little worse for wear but it was acceptable. I was just replacing the book because my copy got ruined so it wasn't that big of a deal but I'm kind of a quality snob when it comes to books and this one had bent pages and stickers on the spine.

I read the series and I am not a huge book reader myself. I just found them interesting enough to keep reading them and that says a lot. They are a lot like the harry potter series but quite a different environment.

Great book, great bargain!

3 stars, because EVERYTHING is different from the original. Characters are missing, and the main plot and happenings ruin the book. Things happen with no explanation. Thank you for your time.

Per my son, he thoroughly enjoyed reading Back To The Divide. He liked the characters, action and thought it was a thrilling book. He read this book from cover to cover in about two days! He would highly recommend this book and the other books in the series.

This book was amazing, I finished it two days after I got it in the mail. I was actually quite worried about it being bad, but it was just as good as the first book. I'm excited to read the third one. :)
book in good shape
