I can't praise this book enough. It is on my short list of the Very Best of the Best of all the books I have read (and I keep a spreadsheet and rate the books I've read, so I'm not just carelessly throwing around accolades!). Not many authors can weave a tragedy in the story and still leave the reader with a positive attitude of hope, but Ms. Hunt has done it here. This book was partially responsible in helping me to step out and share the gospel and God's love with people who feel forgotten. I read this book at least 3 years go (the date a book has been read is the one thing I'm missing on my spreadsheet!), and I still feel the impact of it. It truly left a profound impact on my life.

Very insightful account of a TV evangelist , big church, preacher and a wife with a hidden past. Shows how God can use circumstances to share his Love with others.

If you have sophisticated friends who enjoy the deep and involved total concentration style of reading, you will need to make them promise to read the 1st 50 pages before they make a decision upon your literary choice suggestions. The read does get deep. A very inspiring novel that makes you rethink your own priorities and how you relate to everything about you and the people in your realm. It is never too late to question.

This was a slow read in the beginning but the ending was very enlightening and "convicting". The book truly identifies where Christians can easily get "comfortable" in their "Christian walk". It challenges the reader to look outside their comfort zone and to question if we are willing to practice and do as Jesus did.

I had never read this author before but I will be looking for more! A beautiful story of how Christians sometimes take the broad road by their inclusiveness and arrogance rather than obeying God by being a servant outside their comfort zone. A must read!

Absolutly wonderful book. It will stir hearts to want to serve God in the manner that grist served not the way most men THINK God want us to serve. It should be in every Pastor and church Library.
Ms. Hunt is a good storyteller. I have read many of her books & she usually always challenges the reader. This book is no exception.
