Cowgirl Kate and Cocoa - Erica Silverman. It's fall for Cowgirl Kate and her horse Cocoa which means that Kate is off to school

Cowgirl Kate and Cocoa - Erica Silverman. It's fall for Cowgirl Kate and her horse Cocoa which means that Kate is off to school. Cocoa doesn't deal well with the changes school brings - Kate being gone during the day, making a new friend, and having homework - but soon he adjusts. Betsy Lewin in her watercolor illustrations gets the opportunity to give Kate some different clothes for the first time although the snazzy red cowboy boots from previous series entries still make an appearance. With each entry it becomes clearer that Cocoa is really the star of these stories with Kate as his straight man. Loading.

The sweetest little girls book series! My daughter, my husband, myself and Nana all love them! My daughter is four years old and they will be great for years! I believe that this book has four chapters each chapter is only a couple of pages, and each page only a few sentences. Great pictures too! I buy them for all my friends kids for birthdays and Christmas. They make a nice gift and this way I can get them the whole series :)

I have 5 children ages 6 and under, and they (we!!) LOVE these books!! This one is a favorite, and has been requested almost every night this week. We have horses, so Cocoa's "horsie" attitude is extra funny to hubby and I. We appreciate that they are free of euphemisms and are well suited for our children. Buy the whole series, they are too cute not to!

This series is so funny and warm and interesting that even my 7 year old boy loves them. It is so hard to find good fun interesting books for kids this age, especially when they are late readers. Hats off to Erica Silverman for giving us great books for our little ones!
