by Ronald Markman and Dominick Bosco. This book could be classed as either depending on the reader. This book does not concentrate on just the one aspect of the crime but rather gives a rounded outlook. I found it to be unbiased and complete. It also explains the circumstances behind the crime and the affects of it in the aftermath.

Dominick Bosco, Ronald Markman. Place of Publication. Currently I’m about halfway through this book and I’m thoroughly engaged. Totally compelling book on entering the minds of many famous alleged murderers. I am in L.A. and much of my practice is devoted to murder cases. Whenever I have a client whose thought patterns or affect betray an underlying mental disease or defect. I attempt to retain Dr. Markman, whom I have known for almost 40 years. He is the dean of Southern California's forensic pysch community, a lawyer as well as a psychiatrist, and a calm explainer to juries of defendants' mental conditions as they relate to the law, i.e., insanity, diminished actuality, irresistable impulses, etc. I have read it two or three times and return to the book whenever I am assigned or retained on a serious psych related homicide.

Dr. Markman is both has both legal and psychiatric (medical) degrees; he is likely the single most qualified person to provide insight into California' system of justice, a must read for anyone wanting to know how the California courts actually work.

This is a real look into the crazy criminal justice procedures in California. This book was written a few years ago but it has not dated itself. Read it to learn what type of "sickos" may be your next door neighbor.

this book is the only thing marking my 12year old friend who was murdered in the 70s. I think it is horrible that her and other very young girls whos lives were stolen from them are not remembered but their murderes are. I will never forget the rotten bastards who murdered them because of society revering pyschos in books and movies what about Leah or Jackie or the other girls who were murdered before there lives began. I will never forget you Leah you were a sweet intelligent girl who had a potential to be someone wonderful untill you were stolen from us.
