In fact, our Lord loves beauty so much that He put His Spirit on the craftsmen and artisans in ancient Israel to build Him . Due to the errors of the medieval church, iconoclasm (the removal of all artwork from the sanctuary) has been the Reformed church’s legacy since the Reformation.

In fact, our Lord loves beauty so much that He put His Spirit on the craftsmen and artisans in ancient Israel to build Him a tabernacle reflecting His own beauty (Ex. 35:30–35). Traditionally, philosophy has devoted itself to ethics, epistemology, and aesthetics, or, the study of the good, the true, and the beautiful. Today, many Protestants show little concern for architectural beauty in the construction of church buildings, preferring structures that look more like plain meeting halls than artistically ornamented sanctuaries. Mary's eyes reflect the beauty of God". God appears as a little child, held in the arms of a woman who feeds her Creator. The Mother of God helps us: the Mother who gave birth to the Lord, now presents us, reborn, to the Lord

Mary's eyes reflect the beauty of God". Homily of Pope Francis given on January 1 in Saint Peter's Basilica, for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. From the Pope01/02/2019. The Mother of God helps us: the Mother who gave birth to the Lord, now presents us, reborn, to the Lord. She is a mother who generates in her children the amazement of faith, because faith is an encounter, not a religion. Without amazement, life becomes dull and routine, and so it is with faith.

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. This desire will be the Lord himself. Believers are commanded to reflect God's beauty in their conduct. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight (1 Peter 3:3,4). The beauty of the Lord means that, in his nature, the Lord possesses everything that is desirable. His character is one of perfection.

Not quite what I thought it would be, but maybe when read it through a second time, I'll get more out of it.

Reflecting the Beauty of the Lord. 25 Devotions for Women.

My church gave these out to mothers as Mothers' Day Gifts, a couple of years ago. I just now got around to reading mine. I had no idea it was going to be so awesome, so beautiful, so powerful. If you have this book, and haven't read it yet, don't take as long as I did to get around to reading it! I highly recommend it to all women. (Men can read it, too.)

Have you ever known someone who was strikingly beautiful on the outside, but the inside did not match? I do know lots of people like that, and it seems to be a waste of beauty. The inside is a rot gut pool of hatred, arrogance, disrespect, etc, but the outside is so beautiful, but it doesn't make up for the inside.

This book talks about the inner beauty of God's women, and how it actually radiates to the outside. The way it was presented was so beautiful and encouraging. And Bible scriptures were included. Yes, the Bible speaks of our inner beauty!

There are so many good examples I could give you from this little booklet, but if I did, I'd be quoting the whole book! This book did me a world of good. I LOVE it!!!

Churches do studies from other books. I think they should do a study from this book . . .
