I really enjoyed this read. it was a little sappy throughout the story, but that is probably because I am used to reading stories with a lot more...shall I say grime. I appreciated that the characters were all fine Latino people, except for Mrs "scandalous" Sanchez. She was so comical. Marisol and Alex were honorable and sexy. Oh, to be young again...I was a pretty naturally good salsa dancer, but if I had taken lessons I would have so much better. I think I am inspired to take out some classic salsa albums out tomorrow and dance. thanks. rose gabaldon

I loved the premise that the grandma had to go to the hospital because she got hurt while learning to Salsa. I thought that was a riot - but the book went downhill right after the opening scene.
Too much worrying about whether he liked her, or she liked him, and if the friend and cousin liked each other.
I was expecting a carefree book with a few laughs, and I got high school worries from a couple of 30 year olds.

This was a lovely love story centered around a series of salsa dance classes. The mix of the romantic and fast-paced dance steps with extended family of several of the book characters will keep you entertained.

This is a great book. I couldn't put it down. It left me wanting my own Dr. Alejandro Lares to salsa with. This would be a great book for the beach.

It was a cute story. Not a great literary classic or anything close, but I enjoyed it. I'd recommend it for a fun summer read.

I thought this book wasn't very well written. The author, in trying to teach Spanish to the reader, explained far too much. It would be better for it to be written in either Spanish or English. Didn't enjoy it at all.

Predicable but light and fun.
THE BOOK IS A TYPICAL LOVE STORY WITH A HAPPY ENDING. VERY EASY READ, PLAIN LANGUAGE, CLEARLY WRITTEN BY SOMEONE OUTSIDE THE SALSA SCENE. NOT A BOOK I WOULD LIKE TO READ AGAIN OR NECESSARILY RECOMMEND.
