Nikolay Alexeyevich Nekrasov (Russian: Никола́й Алексе́евич Некра́сов, IPA:, December 10 1821 – 8 January 1878 ) was a Russian poet, writer, critic and publisher, whose deeply compassionate poems about peasant Russia won him Fyodor Dostoyevsky's admiration and made him the hero of liberal and radical circles of Russian. Nekrasov admired his mother and later expressed his love and empathy to all women in his writings.

Nekrasov also sought to express the racy charm and vitality of peasant life in his adaptations of folk songs and poems for children. Philosophy & Religion. Lifestyles & Social Issues. Nekrasov studied at St. Petersburg University, but his father’s refusal to help him forced him into literary and theatrical hack work at an early age. His first book of poetry was published in 1840.
