Organized around the theme of American communities, Out of Many is a blend of social and political history that reveals the geographical, racial, and economic diversity of the United States, with a special focus on the country’s regions, especially the West. Instead of looking at the country as a homogenous whole, the authors break down the country into more.

It explains the long-range development of American Jewry as the product of 'many new beginnings' more than a direct evolution leading from early colonial experiments to latter-day social patterns. This book also shows that not all of American Jewish history has occurred on American soil, arguing that Jews, more than most other Americans, persist in assigning crucial importance to international issues.

A history of the american people. This book is dedicated to the people of America-strong, outspoken, intense in their convictions, sometimes wrong-headed but always generous and brave, with a passion for justice no nation has ever matched. So this project was born, out of enthusiasm and excitement, and now, after many years, it is complete. Writing a history of the American people, covering over 400 years, from the late 16th century to the end of the 20th, and dealing with the physical background and development of an immense tract of diverse territory, is a herculean task.

this is the second half of the entire text and its on loose-leaf edition. i just bought a binder for it but you have to be pretty meticulous when using because the pages are pretty delicate and rips easily. but all in all, i got my money's worth. it also comes with an access code to pearson lab where it has more activities to help you understand the text.

People are upset that they got the book as binder ready, I myself was shocked to see that it was meant for a binder, however, I'm not mad. It's my fault for not checking. If you look at the picture, it clearly states what it is. Besides that fact, it is great. It comes with a student access code too. Plus I had same day delivery so I'm very pleased.

Not impressed at all...I ordered this book and it was not a book at all just a ton of pages that were "placed" in a binder. However, the majority of the pages are ripped so the binder holes aren't even durable to stay in the binder. Not impressed that I just wasted my money on this especially being I need to use this for my class.

Oh and it did not come with any access code like it said it would.
