We surveyed all 70 American Board of Professional Psychology Diplomates in rehabilitation psychology to identify lists of essential books and journals. The return rate was 4. %. Six of 168 books and 5 of 127 journals met the inclusion criteria (. endorsement by ≥ 20% or more of respondents). The Handbook of Rehabilitation Psychology (Frank & Elliot, 2000) received the most endorsements for books. Rehabilitation Psychology received the most endorsements for journals.
