It was an interesting read. It gave me a greater understanding of the disorder, and the challenges involved in healing.

This book is an excellent read. The therapeutic process depicted by both the therapist and patient are still relevant to today's understanding of Disassociative Identity Disorder.

Beyond Integration is to go 'beyond being human' and to have survived something so unspeakable there literally are no words for it. Judy is my hero and her heroic heart and incredible spirit to survive what she did is living proof 'she is' for which I salute her 100%. The work Judy has done to reclaim her shattered self which literally saved her life is the measure of her unconquerable spirit and personal heroism with its outstanding. Her childhood story is so horrific to comprehend the pain I felt when I read it is just overwhelming because her abusers', family of origin were satanic. One cannot be anything but 'evil' and live with a child who is locked in her room day and night and never spoke to or attended to and she was just given enough to literally survive. Her only saving grace was to go 'within' and create a safe place for her to go while 'the others' lived her life. The struggle to get our head's around this level of abuse is very hard. It is so hard to get a handle on it. She did not know she even existed. The work she does with her two therapists is incredible in her 'Resurrection of Judy' it is the miracle of triumph over tragedy. Judy was raised within a abusive family system that literally allowed her no boundaries and no personal space, any needs she had or expressed were considered "bad" and punishable - unless they fitted in with the abuser's needs. She therefore literally had to 'adapt' to the needs of her abusers in order to physically survive. The lost developmental stages, the Satanic Ritual Abuse and the process of integration are all laid bare for the reader to process. The book is a great teaching tool for therapists who are embarking upon working with clients with 'SRA/DID or MPD from birth' with extensive histories . Its a must book for those. Its also a book for other survivors of 'DID' men and women who want to understand what integration is and what is involved and how its achieved. It can however be triggering for 'DID survivors' who are not sure why they have 'DID' or what they have been through due to repressed memories behind strong amnesic barriers. Overall, its Judy's Miracle story and her strength to allow it to be told to the world. I want to thank Judy for sharing with 'us the reader' your incredibly powerful journey to put your shattered self back together and allowing you life now to be richer, fuller and true. A life where you know 'all the pieces' and the picture is complete as it can be. It is a story of a baby born whole who had to shatter in order to 'have a life' and endure the unimaginable. ITS A LIFE WHERE JUDY WENT BEYOND BEING HUMAN and her ability to create an internal world for herself is the height of Genius. Thank YOU Judy Kessler for your life and your gift to us all. xx
