Polar frontiers book. He has studied under Shane Whare, Kate Delos, Bud Gralapp, Walt Kuhlman, Mark Perlman, Ted Greer, Kent Rupp and several other outstanding teachers. Lyttle uses a variety of techniques, and his images range from the abstract to the whimsical and from figures and landscapes to still life and portraits. His work has appeared in more than 100 juried shows.

Whole books (some of them listed here in the selective bibliography) have been written on each of the topics Lyttle compresses into two, rather poorly integrated, essays on the Arctic and Antarctic regions.

I highly recommend this book as a testament to the great explorers of the Antarctic and to Admiral Byrd who truly did have a harrowing time. It's a great and interesting read.
