This is a well-written biography which mainly covers the gymnastics career of Shannon Miller, from her earliest competitions to her gold medal-winning performances during the 1996 Summer Olympic games in Atlanta, GA. It also focuses on the working relationship between she and her coach, Steve Nunno, and her fellow teammates. Even though a lot of the book contains quotes from Shannon's coaches, her teammates, her mother and even Shannon herself, it is still written in an interesting way that keeps the reader captivated. Good tribute to America's most decorated gymnast and a book I would recommend!

This book goes through her first day at Steve Nunno's gym, Barcelona in '92, the days everyone was saying she was past her prime in the sport, right up until the '96 Olympics. Shannon's courage to never give up because she was older than most of her competition won her two gold medals in Atlanta, the team gold and her gold for her balance beam routine. This absolutly the best book written about Shannon Miller

This book was very well written. It showed how Shannon became Shannon. It starts at her childhood and ends before Atlanta. It tells about her meets when she was young, until after the 1992 Olympics. It is one of the most informative books about Shannon. I thoroughly enjoyed it

I really enjoyed this book. I personally am a gymnast so I can relat. It is a really great book. It tells you about a girl who is the under dog but comes out on top. Then when she is on top and after her first Olympics everione says she is too oldfor a gymnast. But she goes over what everione says .And she wins the Olympic Gold
