Stephen Davison takes stunning photographs of motorcycle road racing. If you are buying your first (or only) book of his photographs - make it Hard Roads: The Essence of Road Racing or Between the Hedges: A Celebration of 40 Years of Road Racing. Even Flying Finn has more 'wow!' photos than 'TT Legend'. There *are* several excellent pictures here, but perhaps John's riding style is more efficient than spectacular, or maybe Stephen had better luck photographing Martin Finnegan.

Also there are several double page photos that you cannot view properly because the book doesn't open completely flat.

You will like this book if you are particularly interested in John McGuinness, or if you are collecting all Stephen Davison's books.

A fantastic book, and I was lucky enough to get John to sign it for me at the Island Classic meeting at Phillip Island (Australia) in late January 2014.

Amazing photography. I have several other books by Stephen Davison ("Between the Hedges" and "Ragged Edge") and he is a photographic genius.

Too many photos, and nor enough about John's life and career.

Great book. Perfect Chrissie gift for a fan.

Interesting read, John is an absolute legend. The text needs to be tidied up as there are several glaring spelling and grammatical errors that make one feel that the author/editors didn't bother giving it a second read.
