Seems basic, but interesting topic that can be applied to personal and professional situations. The world would indeed be a far better place if we all took more personal accountability!

Book arrived quickly! Price was reasonable! Book was in great condition.

This book is worth its weight in gold. I have read many books in the area of self-improvement, and I must say this one is of the top. The author gets very personal and talks openly about his own personal accountability. Even though it was lengthy read, I did not find this book repetitive. The book is written in a style that it sounds like John is talking to you one on one. It's contains very powerful ideas, while at the same time it is extremely practical. I fully endorse this book.

It's great. I love that it distinguishes between the feeling of motivation and the practice of discipline. As someone with depression, it was very uplifting to realize the difference, because I can't always control my feelings, but I can always control my actions. I also love that the tone of the book is encouraging and informative instead of preachy and condescending.

I oversee a realestate office of 50 sales associates & have used this book for several sales meetings regarding dealing with people. In this book the author shares stories and uses examples of people who really care to make a difference to others. Spending our time whinning, picking on & complaining about things is a waste of otherwise very useable energy that could be channeled towards a more positive experience for someone, including ourselves. Many, many lessons can be learned from reading this book and from these lessons hopefully some ideas of ways of enjoying what we do & taking personal responsibilty for a positive end result.
