As is typical of a Ken Blanchard book, this one is short, easy to read, and written in a story format that allows the reader to become immersed in the storyline as well as learn the lessons. There are some great tactical elements - like 1:1 meetings that are scheduled and focused, brown bag lunch and learn sessions, and setting meeting times and days when focus can be maximized. The concepts of employee engagement, investment, and that there's no quick fix for leadership hold true. Yes, the book is short, basic and expensive for its size. However, it is on point, entertaining, and will provide a few useful tips that make it worth the couple hour read and few bucks spent.

It was an interesting read. I read for a class on leadership and the points were well drawn out. The story line wasn't very interesting, but good enough that I was able to finish the book. If it was terrible, I would've had a hard time getting even half way through. Good lessons in here.

I feel badly saying something that is not positive about a Blanchard book, but I did not enjoy this book nor felt it had any value. It was creative in its style, but totally predictable in its outcome. I forced myself to finish this book and then immediately gave it away. I recommend Gung Ho or his book on Four Leadership Principles instead. Gung Ho is excellent.
You have to get this book, in fact I suggest strongly that you buy all of his books they are great motivational tools!
