This does expand a bit but there's a lot of extra fluff. Could have been half as long and still made ask the save good points.

But that half is excellent.

The original version is great and really helps overcome procrastination; however, this version is not what its title implies: Those same principles applied at work. This book has a whole chapter for Effective Communication techniques and some other chapters which have nothing to actually do with the Now Habit (covered in the original "The now habit"). For other purposes I would have bought other titles.
Please, if you have not read the original book, don't hesitate to buy it if you have problems with procrastination. You actually don't need this book to know how to apply that knowledge to your job.

I bought this book for my husband. He had already read 'The Now Habit', but our daughter suggested this book as well for the application of the same principles to a work environment. He finds it helpful to work through it again with a mind to solving a dysfunctional work dynamic and dealing with his many employees who struggle with motivation.

Like "The Now Habit", this book is very helpful and packed with insight about the kind of self talk that leads to defeat and procrastination, and the type of self talk that leads to moving forward, production, and success. I think that the theme of this book could be "start now, instead of getting wrapped up in your head about finishing". This is a slim book, but I feel that the author packs more insight into the book than many authors in books far thicker. I like the way the author includes insights from the military and other researchers. I highly recommend this book for any who - like me - have a problem with procrastination, and who tend to be too "in our heads" while we work.

This book just nails it for me. I've owned it for two years and it just keeps on giving. The language of self talk is illuminating to say the least. I can't recommend this book highly enough.
