Description

Philip T. Kotler It is an amazing book for those love marketing and work in hospitality and tourism.

Robert C. Lewis was a professor of marketing and strategy in hospitality, and graduate coordinator at the University Of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, from which he is now retired. He previously served ten years in the same position at the University of t, where he is Professor Emeritus. It is an amazing book for those love marketing and work in hospitality and tourism. It reminds me of Kotler's marketing management book, because it has precise information described very effectively, not dry, has a lot of contemporary examples.

Bought this as a college text book. Personally, I despise it, but if it is required that doesn't make a difference. I'll try and be as objective as possible: I'm looking into tourism and there is very little to do with tourism in this. The emphasis on hotels is ridiculous (in my opinion) and obviously it's a bit outdated. It is good because it brings up professionals advice on certain matters however I am just slightly disappointed this text book was assigned to a tourism student when it barely even touches on tourism.

I bought this book for my class, but even if I didn't need it, I would definitely buy it. It is an amazing book for those love marketing and work in hospitality and tourism. It reminds me of Kotler's marketing management book, because it has precise information described very effectively, not dry, has a lot of contemporary examples. You can read just 2 pages but get a lot of information. It takes time to read it though, cause the pages are big. Highly recommended!

I bought my copy of this book here & found (after using it for 2 weeks) that it was a bootleg copy. A few classmates also bought this same book from here and have the copy. Its thicker and bigger than the original, filled with copies, much like a university reader. I'm thoroughly upset at having spent $130 or so on a bad copy. The originals are colored and on better quality paper. VERY UNHAPPY with this product. I don't know why this seller is even legitimate on Amazon.

I know the book I purchased was inexpensive but when I received it the pages were falling out it is missing like five pages and I have only gotten through three chapters. The pages look photo copied and uneven. If I could I would purchase the book somewhere else and pay at least 30.00 more for a book I can read without having to staple the pages together. They should actually sell books that we can read without having to worry about if they have all the pages!

This text is a must read for anyone working towards a career in marketing in the hospitality industry. The information is advanced and is not designed to teach someone the very basics of marketing. Rather, the author intends to explain to readers advanced methods of applying practical marketing concepts in the real business world. The ideas are unique and are based on many different sources. This is not regurgitated marketing information that will be found in any text. I highly recommend this text if you are considering using it as the main text to teach your class or if you are a professional that is looking to stay on the cutting edge.
