$150 and it doesn't come with the online testing resource. Worthless without that. Now I have to go spend another $100 for that. Rip off. The interface is awful too. The index has the titles but doesn't take you there if you click on it like other books I've had. Overall, I wouldn't but this one again.

I have been a manager for 7 years running teams of up to 14 direct reports. This is a phenomenal book. I am buying copies for all my team leaders. The self test at the beginning of the book and each chapter allows the individual to see how they compare with hundreds of other people. This is a huge help in identifying a person's stengths and weaknesses.

I have read many leadership books but this is really a tremendous training tool and reference.

Although I am quite pleased with the content of the book, I am not as pleased with the Kindle version of it. I think any book that is meant to be a text (as this one is) should not be shipped to the Kindle unless it has page numbers (latest generation of Kindles are capable of showing them). I had intended to use this in several of my classes, but I would have to get a hard copy at $114 after already having spent $94 on the Kindle version.

The only disappointing thing about the book is the previous edition of this book has all of the assessments available in the book itself without having to buy the access code. I find it ridiculousness that you have to buy an access code to take self-assessment tests that are available in the public domain. The book itself is well written and an easy read. The authors suggest some good practical ideas to help leaders.

It's an excellent book. I rented it for school and then bought it because it's just that good. The book was delivered on time and may have been brand new, I can't remember. It looked brand new and for the price, I'm very pleased.

Good book for a good price.

Amazing
Book is very dense and hard to apply to the true management - filled with useless study results and dense reading. If you're not required to purchase this textbook for a class, dont. There are far better books elsewhere for the development of management skills.
