This is a commendable work in being the only (as far as I know) Toyota Sales and Marketing System manual available to the public and written by an authoritative insider. Besides going over the key principles, it is very important for making clear the fundamental differences vis-a-vis the better known Toyota Production System.

I wasn't expecting it but it read more like a biography than a regular book. An expatriate viewpoint on things with Toyota knowledge sporadically placed throughout. Sporadic is the key word here as there wasn't a great flow to the book, it jumped around quite a bit. The Toyota part's were amazing but because they were scrambled into the biographical part it was an uneven reading experience that wasn't much fun. In summary, the content is ok but the editing left a lot to be desired.
