The problem with this book is that, my copy came with a limited license software to use that, was insufficient for the purpose. Additionally, when attempting to transfer the software to an upgraded computer, the difficulties encountered made it more appealing to look for a different information source. The initial draw is to get the purchaser to buy more expensive versions of the software, a marketing tactic that has grown old and, distasteful.

This book really helped me in getting a better understanding of budget development for non profits. I am in the finance field for a profit organization so the accounting method is slightly different from non profit accounting. This book provided me with a step-by-step process on budget development for non profit organizations which is very simple, clear and comprehensible. Thank you.

When I purchased this book I thought it might be outdated for my organization. I was wrong - this is an excellent budget WORKBOOK. The author did an excellent job in bringing the complex and problematic issues of budgeting for Nonprofit organizations and takes you step by step into the process. The book covers everything from the start of the budget to financial reporting of the budget. This book also provides numerous samples of budgets. If your a budget manager or director - this book should give a fresh new way to look at the budgeting process.
