In book: Designing Indoor Solar Products: Photovoltaic Technologies for AES, p. 21-146. On the use of photovoltaic ambient energy sources for powering indoor electronic devices. Cite this publication. Université de Fribourg. Gain in Power from Chronological Design and Analysis. January 1993 · Chronobiologia. Design of high frequency power transformer for switched mode power supplies.

Designing Indoor Solar Products bridges this gap by showing where AES (Ambient Energy Systems) based on photovoltaic cells may be used for higher power devices. Motivated by both financial and ecological arguments, this book: Co-ordinates a wide-reaching range of scientific information regarding photovoltaic technologies and their application to indoor spaces. Analyses power management, power availability, technological selection and design methodologies. Uses real-life examples and case studies to demonstrate the arguments made.

Randall, Designing Indoor Solar Products.

We have classified them into five main groups: radiant, mechanical, thermal, magnetic, and biochemical  . Energy density can be estimated from typical values provided in the literature and complemented with specific measurements performed at the final placement of the autonomous sensor. Home Improvement & Design

Home Improvement & Design. I got the book to have a reference and most of the time I do simulations of comercial buildings (from warehouses to shopping centers and sports arenas) with EnergyPlus and in a first impression the choice was good, as the book has a similar aproach as that used on the EP software. Definitively recommend this book as an introduction and as a reference. One person found this helpful.

Reducing energy use by buildings is therefore an essential part of any strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We all need the book now. Geoffrey Brundrett, International Journal of Ambient Energy. L. D. Danny Harvey is a Professor at the University of Toronto, and brings a 25-year background in computer climate modelling and analysis of energy scenarios to the problem of how to create truly sustainable buildings.

Energy is one of the most important catalysts in wealth generation, economic growth, and social development in all countries. Energy consumption of buildings can be reduced significantly in every stage of a building life cycle. This study investigated the energy-efficient methods in building life cycle. In this context, we give information about the life cycle of building and explain energy-efficient guiding principles in life cycle stages.
