I purchased the First 100 years of Jazz as a class requirement
I purchased the First 100 years of Jazz as a class requirement. I was not really a fan of jazz until I heard this CD. I really enjoyed the variety of jazz choices. I have many other gripes about this book, but those are two of the big ones for me. The writer also omitted many famous female jazz artists, and didn't even really bother to include them on the history 'timelines' throughout the book because yeah, they're so jazzy! I hate this book, hehe. It's also just not written very well, in my opinion.
