the acts of the Holloway Touring Theatre Company. His son, David, has combined the manuscript with other family records to tell of the many triumphs and disasters of the touring company up to 1914. Published by Harrap in London. It is a unique record of the life of actors in Victorian and Edwardian days, as well as the stirring story of a close knit family, whose motto – whatever the difficulties – was, the show must go on. As a history, it describes a way of life now sadly vanished, offering an insight into the organization of the old theatrical stock companies and a reflection of the social climate within which they operated.
The Holloways were an English four-piece indie rock band from North London. Their single "Generator" reached number 14 in the UK Singles Chart on 11 June 2007. They had five N. singles on the UK Indie Chart and several Top 40 singles. Their debut album, So This Is Great Britain?, was awarded 8 out of 10 by NME. Former band member Rob Skipper died on 3 October 2014 in Brighton from a heroin overdose.
