Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. Crosby, an employee at a medical clinic in the park, was reported missing when he did not report for work. A park ranger found his body in a popular off-trail area less than a mile (1 600 m) from Elephant Back Loop Trail, an area he was known to frequent. His body was partially consumed and covered. An initial investigation by the National Park Service found the bear's actions were defensive against a perceived threat to her cubs. Treadwell was famous for his books and documentaries on living with wild bears in Alaska. State Troopers investigating the incident recovered an audiotape of the attack.

I love Donald Jones' photography. The pictures of the baby bears in this book are adorable. It isn't a board book for babies and little kids like "Black Bear Babies" is. I'd say this book is for ages anywhere between 8 and an adult. There is a lot of descriptive reading accompanying the photos in this book.
