I've read this several times, and plan to buy another now that mine was stolen. The valuable insights in this book are worth being reminded of over & over again. I've tread several gay relationship books, and this is the only one I thought was worth reading more than once.

Great that a book would finally tackle the subject of communication in a same gender relationship, so kudos to author Neil Kaminsky. However, there is nothing new in this book that one cannot find elsewhere in any self-help spousal communication book or online. Was hoping this would be much more specific and target with practical how-tos, but found the usual snippets of case studies as are in all other self help books; being same gender examples they unfortunately did not add to overall practicality of the book. This is a beginner's book at best; no pointed practical strategies were relevant and in general I was very disappointed. Sorry, not worth the money at all.

It's surprising how much of a difference it makes reading a communication book written by a gay man for gay men. The examples given really do resonate with me while i read. In a positive way, I do feel i am receiving therapy while reading this book. Thanks
