I used to have one of these but it was destroyed by water along with about 800 of my books in storage. I just purchased another, can't wait to get the dictionary. There was even a mythology section.

There is a lot of valuable information here, but as with many printed reference books, some of the information becomes outdated.

There is some introductory material, a 2129 page dictionary, a number of supplements, and a section of maps. There are many illustrations, including 13 pages in color. There is a lot of valuable information here, but as with many printed reference books, some of the information becomes outdated. The current president, for example, is no longer Lyndon Johnson as I write this in 2019. Some of the information does remain the same, of course, but most or all of it can be easily found on the internet.
